Honeydew!

Lately I have been really into eating cantaloupe and honeydew, and I presume it is the warm weather making me crave these juicy melons! Charlotte and I enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather and ate some honeydew on our new adirondack chairs. My overall goal for my new chairs is to be able to lounge on sunny spring and summer days and get a little tan while Charlotte naps! We fell in love with the adirondack chairs at the Boat Basin Cottages in Nantucket. We finally bought some!
I am feeling energetic and lively just as I did when I was pregnant with Charlotte. Mornings have been difficult because I think allergies are making me wake up with minor headaches. The only difference with this pregnancy is that I am having more digestive issues. I got a lot of stomach aches with Charlotte, but I am getting more this time around. Oy! Otherwise, the pregnancies are very similar!
We have another ultrasound March 30th and we look forward to seeing her again!

Compo Beach Pictures!

Last weekend we enjoyed the first warm weather this March at Compo Beach in Westport. I took so many photographs, so this post is going to be short since the pictures really say it all! Charlotte was a little weary of the sand at first because it has been so long since she has played in it, but she warmed up to it and had a ball! Frank decided he was a "water dog", despite five years of hating the ocean...and he was in rare form! Enjoy our pics from this fun family day!

Five Month Tummy

I feel as though I finally have some resemblance of a pregnant belly! As you can see, my "bare" shots are very apparent, but in full clothes, I still do not pop much! Those who know me, know I wallow in the joys of a large pregnant tummy....so this is still the waiting period for me. With Charlotte I got happier the bigger I got. With this pregnancy, I feel I have a smaller tummy than last time, which is the opposite of how it should be.
I have a big love of taking self portraits, so I am mastering the self belly portraits!
Ben and I went to Westport this past Monday to enjoy the first glimpse of spring (many more pics will be coming soon of the beach trip).
Just last night was the very first time she kicked hard enough for Ben to feel it too! It is such a thrill feeling baby movements on your own, but it reaches a whole new level when you can share them with your spouse. Of course, she follows the same exact pattern as Charlotte of kicking like crazy and then the moment Ben puts his hand to feel, she stops!

Spring is here...maybe?

This weekend truly felt like the first whisper of spring, and we enjoyed some time in the sun this weekend. Charlotte and Frank had a ball riding around in the wagon together. I think the pictures say it all!

It's a Girl!

After three wonderful years of marriage to Benjamin, our family continues to grow! On this special anniversary day, we had our big ultrasound to find out how Baby Racho is, and what Baby is!

We are so happy to announce that Charlotte is going to be the big sister of a baby girl! We had our ultrasound at Yale today and I was so happy with the news I just cried right then and there on the ultrasound table! Here are two profile pictures. She looked healthy and beautiful according to the doctors! Now...only twenty more weeks until we meet Baby Racho!

I have been agonizing SINCE I learned I was pregnant about names. I had a girl name in the bag, but was totally stumped on boy names! Truth be told, I was so nervous about having a boy mostly because I had so few names chosen!

Being the math geek that I am, I calculated that of the 156 weeks we have been married, I have been pregnant for approximately 39% of our time married! I love every moment of pregnancy and feel I was actually made for pregnancy!
