Charlotte and Aurora Take Westport!

Today was a very exciting day, reuniting with a long time friend who I have not seen in years. We always loosely kept in touch but then we discovered we were pregnant at the same time and reunited over email. Life brought her back to CT, so we finally made a date to get together! Aurora is so adorable and so sweet and calm. We had a nice day of playing, shopping and attempting to have a little lunch, despite Charlotte's other plans at the time!

Overlooking the Saugatuck River in Westport.

Charlotte took Auroras bow right off her head! Aurora knew what was going on and immediately went to get her bow back!

Charlotte is standing on her own for moments at a time! She lost her shoes, which are currently too big..oops!

Charlotte had no shortage of getting into trouble, which included knocking over her entire stroller...judging by her faces, she was quite pleased.

Beautiful mommy, Christine with baby Aurora.

Visiting Dad at the station...we absolutely love seeing Dad in action. We are so proud of him everyday and it is important that Charlotte sees where Daddy goes all the time! There were two other firemen at the station, and Charlotte made a point to hide behind chairs and flirt with them...

Some pretty fall shots...

Goofing off! We tried to get Charlotte in on the "self portrait" fun, but she was too busy watching the main road and people going by! Overall, it was the perfect Fall day.

Westport BBQ Competition

Boys and their meat....what else can I say? Westport had its annual BBQ competition and Ben rallied some firemen together to create a team. Needless to say it was a long day for Ben and the firemen prepping their station and getting thier goodies ready, starting at 6am (though I am sure that also involved a big breakfast and some beer). Bens secret BBQ sauce ingredient was some Eros Pista, which is my secret ingredient in just about everything spicy. It was all very delicious. Though they did not win, there is always next year!
Charlotte had a wonderful time, despite the crying picture I posted...that was just too cute not to post. Otherwise she had a fun day riding on Dads shoulders and being tantalized by all the smells around her. While she has had some chicken in my chicken soup, I think I will wait for her to taste pork and ribs until much later! On a totally random note some of the things she enjoys that are not typical "baby" flavors are hummus, swiss chard, tofu and beets! Hopefully she will adopt my adventure for trying new and very healthy foods...and most of all, sushi!

Fountains!

Our sweet Charlotte, who was once so tiny got her first "big girl" shoes today at LL Bean shopping with Daddy. Now, she probably needed a size 4, but all they had was a 5, so Ben got them and they look like clown shoes, but they work! She is stable and standing in them. She is up to eight teeth...they seem to be coming fast! She had a blast playing with the fountain in the shopping plaza. It was a gorgeous day out and we had a wonderful family day. We are thrilled fall is here....and her one year birthday is quickly creeping up on us!

Belated Labor Day

Look at this hibiscus! It was begging to be photographed!
This Labor Day was all about eating, drinking and playing with a new camera! This was my first "true" time using my new real (professional) camera and I think my pictures came out nice! I had a lot of fun shooting pictures of Charlotte, but I also ventured into the garden and shot some neat pots.

First Swing!

Just when I think Charlotte could not get any sweeter and cuter, I put her in a swing and am dazzled! I have few words lately about her pictures because I have so many and am so in awe. Alexis and I had a ball putting her in "the bucket" swing and watching her smile in delight! Unfortunately Ben was working and missed this event! Thank goodness we have some professional pictures!

Here are some wonderful pics of Charlotte in the daisies in our garden! Thanks to the wonderful Alexis Stein Photography. I have nothing else to say, other than enjoy them!

Crazy Daisy Part I

This is quite possibly, my absolute favorite...

It was yet another silly day with a photo shoot of Charlotte. "Part I" implies my photographs and Part II will be Alexis' photos. Charlotte tried to eat the daisies and sat among my daisies...and overall, we had a blast taking pictures.
