Five Month Tummy

I feel as though I finally have some resemblance of a pregnant belly! As you can see, my "bare" shots are very apparent, but in full clothes, I still do not pop much! Those who know me, know I wallow in the joys of a large pregnant tummy....so this is still the waiting period for me. With Charlotte I got happier the bigger I got. With this pregnancy, I feel I have a smaller tummy than last time, which is the opposite of how it should be.I have a big love of taking self portraits, so I am mastering the self belly portraits!
Ben and I went to Westport this past Monday to enjoy the first glimpse of spring (many more pics will be coming soon of the beach trip).
Just last night was the very first time she kicked hard enough for Ben to feel it too! It is such a thrill feeling baby movements on your own, but it reaches a whole new level when you can share them with your spouse. Of course, she follows the same exact pattern as Charlotte of kicking like crazy and then the moment Ben puts his hand to feel, she stops!

It's a Girl!
After three wonderful years of marriage to Benjamin, our family continues to grow! On this special anniversary day, we had our big ultrasound to find out how Baby Racho is, and what Baby is!We are so happy to announce that Charlotte is going to be the big sister of a baby girl! We had our ultrasound at Yale today and I was so happy with the news I just cried right then and there on the ultrasound table! Here are two profile pictures. She looked healthy and beautiful according to the doctors! Now...only twenty more weeks until we meet Baby Racho!
I have been agonizing SINCE I learned I was pregnant about names. I had a girl name in the bag, but was totally stumped on boy names! Truth be told, I was so nervous about having a boy mostly because I had so few names chosen!
Being the math geek that I am, I calculated that of the 156 weeks we have been married, I have been pregnant for approximately 39% of our time married! I love every moment of pregnancy and feel I was actually made for pregnancy!

Pillows!

Seeing as I have an unhealthy love of throw pillows, I decided to gather some up and have Charlotte play in them! She loves anything fluffy she can bounce around in. Little did I know that she would have so much fun doing so! On these cold winter days, there is nothing more fun than a little baby photo shoot!Tuesday, February 16, 2010
Snow Day!

Snow covered ivy, growing up my favorite antique ladder made from an old mill in CT, and japanese holly (above) and my boxwoods (below)
Perhaps I have become oblivious to the impending snow storms and have paid little attention to the weather reports...because I was surprised and delighted by today's storm. Ben and I had a lazy day planned and the snow was a great reason to stay in our jammies and have some good fun in the snow! Granted, our time in the snow was only about fifteen minutes but it was so beautiful out, we had to go! So far, I think this has been the prettiest snowfall this year. It was slow, peaceful and lasted all day long.
Charlotte has since expanded her vocabulary to include "jack" and "sit"...admittedly, "sit" comes out sounds a bit like...well...you can imagine. She is a big fan of "la la" and "da da" but we still have yet to get a solid "ma ma". When I ask her, she simply says "ma" and then goes into a long series of "la la la".
In pregnancy news, I passed the sixteen week mark and feel much livelier these days. I can just barely feel movements if I am laying very still and really focusing on feeling things. We will (hopefully) know March 3rd (also our wedding anniversary) if it is a boy or girl....all I can say is that I am having a VERY hard time picking out boy names! There are so many I love, but dislike the nick names that they can turn into. Help!
