Boldog Szuletesnapot Papa!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful Dad, Papa and Friend! We celebrated 70 years of my Fathers amazing life this weekend and had a great time doing so. Now, I can attempt to sum up my Fathers seventy years, which include escaping the Hungarian Revolution, being adopted into the US, a lifelong career at Yale, three children, three grandchildren...etc....but that would require a novel.
I have learned a lot of things from my Father and it was very important to me to celebrate in a grand way and gather all of our friends and family. He is not just a wonderful Father, but an incredible and humble man. We all love you Dad!
Above is our fabulous cake from my "cake lady" as I call her...Diane Burke of Dianes Sweet Treats, who also did my wedding cake, anniversary cake and baby shower cake. I designed it and she created it! She is amazing!

I call this the Hungarian "wine koozie"...not sure if that is what it is. I was too busy taking pictures to hear what it really is.

We had a ball taking family pictures!

I had Alexis's camera so I was literally taking pictures of everything!

Adam and Charlotte meet for the first time! They were born days apart and Charlotte has a 'few' pounds on Adam!

White Chair

Boy, do I feel the difference of using my basic camera compared to Alexis Stein's fabulous professional cameras. These were taken with my camera...boy I want a camera like hers! Much better quality than these! Ah well...I took these this weekend and had a lot of fun with Charlotte.
She pulled herself up for the very first time! Trouble is just around the corner!
I know this dress has been seen in many pictures before, and though she has a rediculous amount of clothes, I always reach for the favorites!
On a side note of photography, I am learning Photoshop with Alexis' help. It is wonderful to be able to edit basic things in my own work!

While I love her toes oh so much, I also love those little hands (or as I call them, her "piggy hands" - for no reason other than its a name I made up!)

She is so full of personality and happiness throughout the day. She only gets really mad when she is hungry or pooped out.

Perfection

I have been absolutely and completely inundated with the beautiful pictures my friend Alexis (Alexis Stein Photography) has been taking of Charlotte this week. She has captured the most amazing moments and I am so grateful to have such talent around me all the time! Below are just a few favorites from a slew of amazing shots to choose from!
Now, I know I am 100% biased, but Charlotte is so beautiful she takes my breath away. She is full of personality and each day gets to be more fun watching her soak in the world. I know I am her mommy, but to me she is absolute perfection.

Lilly Pulitzer fun!

Ben and Charlotte are on the Lilly Pulitzer website!

Charlotte is enjoying some time in her chair. We never opted to have a rocker, but we did opt for a modern print fun chair for her!

She was making all kinds of interesting faces and this was captured on film!

She loves this little wonderful bumblebee

A Little Bit of June!

Playing in the backyard, soaking in the wonderful June weather. She is happiest when outside looking at the birds, the trees and frank run around.

I still cannot resist taking loads of bathtime pictures.

I will endlessly take toe pictures, probably until she is old enough to yell at me to stop. I love her feet and her toes so much, that half of my pictures turn out to be toes pictures.

Mr. Bumblebee

This past weekend was a lot of fun at Mount Tom State Park. We generally like to do these adventures on week days, but we just could not resist the weather. Luckily, it was not as crowded as we expected. We watched another baby (Charlottes size) walk all over the beach. Now, we know Charlotte is a large baby, but she really was the same size as someone five months her senior! After the beach we stopped at a local produce stand and grabbed some vegetables for a wonderful barbeque!
